Mission

Mission:

Philadelphia Pharaohs Mission:

To provide a positive impact on the members of the communities, though quality football and professional behavior of the teams involved. We will remain committed to uplifting our communities though positive actions on and off the field. We are dedicated to providing the communities and families living there with an entertaining venue and source of local pride they can actively root for. We hope to achieve this though honor and integrity of the teams involved as well as providing the community a voice on how the league operates. We will continue to provide the community with the proper respect they deserve because we realize without their support this league will not flourish.

We also like our players to be role models for the next generation of football players now playing little league and high school level football. We encourage all teams to adopt a youth team(s) in their area to provide camps and other activities designed to help teach the basics of football as well as leadership skills and the importance of getting a quality education. We also encourage teams to become involved in activities in their community’s, which will get more people excited about the league and more support for the teams. Without the backing of the community many teams often fail.

To train young men to reach there goals in Minor league football or Professional football. Create a solid foundation with the community and our sponsors. Build respect and confidence within our organization.

Team Operating Rules

Team Ownership:

Ownership is defined as person(s) listed on the legal documents of the state.

I . Prior to the change ownership of a team, the prospective new owner or partner demonstrate to the Commissioner, financial stability, and good character and meet the standards and rules of the RAFL.

II. Partners/Owner/Investors

A.  The Philadelphia Pharaohs must inform the league if there is an equal partnership or partial partnership. If the later, the principle owner is the official spokesperson and voter per organization if the former only one votes per organization.
Attendance at the league meetings - Limited to owners only unless so specified.

Investors Are not included in any league functions or meetings unless designated as a legal partner and included on the teams legal documents of incorporation.

Partnership Disputes Disputes resulting in partnership breakups either owner upon approval of the Commissioner may start a new team for admission the following season provided scheduling opportunities are available. If there are any disputes between partners, the team attorney will intervene.

III. Training Camp:

Training camp will consist of a three-week intense on and off the field team building. During this period, players are expected to show 100% attendance at all functions. Training Camp will feature extended practices in the evenings every day, as well as two-a-days on both Saturdays and Sundays. Training Camp will also introduce the team to the community work of the team, which may include delivering meals to HIV/AIDS patients, building houses in blighted neighborhoods, coat drives, etc.

Players will also be responsible for selling single-game and season’s tickets to the Pharaoh's games and responsible for obligate sponsors for the team. Training Camp will also be used to determine the depth chart, as well as selection of offensive, defensive, and special teams' captains. Players will sign a medical release form before training camp, but full contract signage will occur after camp. The Pharaohs reserve the right to cut any player during this time period.

IV. On-Field Conduct:

Conduct at practices will reflect the honor with which the entire organization seeks to present itself. While there are no set of rules that can completely encompass all scenarios, there are several listed rules, the violation of any of which can lead to a variety of suspensions, from that of single game's playing privileges, to complete expulsion from the team roster. These rules will be reviewed in detail with the team, and each player will receive a copy inside the playbook.  The Pharaohs would rather play with diminished talent than diminished spirit.

V. Team Rules:

Be prompt for all activities. Lateness will lead to benching, or other disciplinary actions.

Decisions taken by coaching staff and management are final. Problems with those decisions should be taken up with coaches one on one.

Decisions submitted to the team for a vote shall be decided by a democratic vote of majority rules. Once a vote is taken, it is final. Players will be expected to respect the decision on and off the field.

Study

Players will be accountable for knowing the playbook and be able to respond to questions regarding its directives. Review sessions (NOT study sessions) will be held during practices, and drill will be geared toward mastering the playbook on the field.

If a player commits an error on the field, his teammates are expected to rally around him on the field and in the huddle. The coaches will make a decision weather to remove a player(s) from the field.

Respect for coaches

While the Pharaohs do not want a military atmosphere, it is important that the coaches be respected as the ultimate arbiters of dispute and decision-making . Coaches will be addresses as "Coach Lilly," and so on. Players are to play according to coaching decisions. Should there be player criticism of coaches play calling, the player will talk to the coach in a decreet manner. The players will nominate a captain to address it with the coaches.

Respect for opponents

Players will play the game at the highest standards of integrity.  Dirty play will not be tolerated.

Respect for ourselves

Despite the modern trend of excessive celebration on the field, this will be held to a minimum. This issue will be submitted to a team discussion, at that time, rules of on-field celebration will be agreed to and upheld. The Philadelphia Pharaohs and the League frown on excessive celebration and the referee will penalize the team.

Be prompt for all activities. Lateness will lead to benching, or other disciplinary actions.

Decisions taken by coaching staff and management are final. Problems with those decisions should be taken up with coaches one on one.

Study

Players will be accountable for knowing the playbook and be able to respond to questions regarding its directives. Review sessions (NOT study sessions) will be held during practices, and drill will be geared toward mastering the playbook on the field.

IX . Emergencies:

Decisions taken by coaching staff and management are final. Problems with those decisions should be taken up with coaches one on one.
